Darren was an avid touch footy player until undergoing knee surgery for a second time. As part of his rehabilitation he was introduced to weight training under a personal trainer. Darren found the same joy he had experienced being part of a team when he started participating in fitness classes. The challenge of rebuilding his muscle strength and the support he received from his new community contributed to all aspects of his life including his mental wellbeing. Darren wanted to share his experiences, understanding and the satisfaction of investing in your own physical health so he completed his qualifications for group fitness instructor, and personal training. Darren wants to provide an enjoyable but challenging experience for his clients as they progress on their fitness journey.

Fitness Trainer

Kevin

Growing up barefoot on the streets of Texas developed a passion for all things movement! Playing soccer as a young child and then branching out into a variety of other sports through the teenage years, such as rugby, cricket, basketball but most of all running! Taking the form of cross country and athletics early on, it was never a stretch to imagine that as an adult, running and more specifically trail running, would be valued so highly! “To feel the flow and movement of the trail under your feet and experience the release of running through the forest, taking the mind away from the constant clutter of thoughts that accompany the rest of the day, is a freeing experience that is often hard to find these days” The coaching career kicked off in gyms and parks as a PT and fitness instructor, once the Cert III and IV were completed and then moved into Run Coaching for both adults and kids, with a Level I and II coaching certification. This was later complemented by the creation and development of movement based programs in conjunction with the holistic provider Lemonade Kids. Most recently has seen the addition of Animal Flow into the equation, with a strong focus on low impact strength and mobility exercise, to suit the range across the community, from complete beginner to elite athlete. “My passion is helping individuals to find and experience a joy in exercise and movement, to continue to grow and develop no matter the age or circumstance. My goal is to create a space where people feel comfortable to take on new challenges and encourage belief in themselves, to attain greater insight into their own ability for movement!”
